| "On my initial
call I was able to speak with Steve White and was pleased with his
prompt support. MMS was instrumental in determining not only what
audio visual equipment was needed, but what would be the most beneficial
for our entire facility. Their knowledge of available products and
their use was instrumental in making us a success from the development
of ideas, installation and training on the use of our new state-of-the-art
equipment. Even after the completion of our community room equipment,
installation of TV's throughout the facility and eye-catching plasma
display in the lobby, MMS continues to be a phone call away when
we develop technical problems or decide to add new equipment. MMS
is not just about making a sale, they are about developing a long-term
relationship. "

The Knoxville
News-Sentinel
outgrew its old building....amazing, since they had only been there since
1928! Their new 165,000 square-foot office and production facility is state-of-the-art
all the way, to provide East Tennessee readers and advertisers with news,
information and marketing services. You will find the most modern production
equipment, new printing presses, and the latest technology on all fronts at
the News-Sentinel, including cutting edge A/V technology for collaborative
meetings, presentations, and information "narrowcasting".
The Challenge:
Since the News-Sentinel brought MMS in for design consultation in the
building's planning stages, the challenges we may run into in retrofitting
an existing space were avoided! Phase 1 designing for 2 fully equipped
conference rooms, plus wiring for the digital signage systems (including
plans for outdoor signage), which will be installed in Phase 2, needed
to cover extreme user-friendliness, continuing support for the facility.
One of the boardrooms holds up to 100 participants, the other would seat
up to 50.
The
Solution:
Each boardroom includes a projection system, visualizer/video presenter,
full audio, and vcr/dvd playback capabilities. A mobile interactive electronic
whiteboard can be placed in either room. The digital signage system is
in its preliminary stage, and 5 monitors are mounted in break-rooms and
other assembly areas, plus a 50" Plasma Display Panel in the Lobby
for visitor information and guidance.
The System
