A Digital Hospital makes full use of the latest computerized technology to improve your care and protect your safety as a patient. Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network is among the first digital hospitals in the nation. Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) ranks as one of the nations top hospitals in five care delivery areas in the 2005 U.S.News & World Report guide to Americas Best Hospitals, the only hospital in the region to be ranked in more than one category. This is the tenth consecutive year LVH has made the U.S. News rankings and the sixth time in multiple categories. Lehigh Valley Hospital's new video wall supports the message of technological excellence and leading-edge expertise, provides a very impressive experience for visitors, and has the flexibility to be a powerful tool for the Hospital and Health Network's marketing and patient/visitor information needs. This eye-catching
wall of plasma screens needed to be front-accessible and have adequate cooling
system to handle 16 plasma's temperature requirements.
Architect Venturi, Scott, Brown & Associates called upon Mike White, CEO of MMS, to design the 4x4 plasma video wall. The wall comprises 4 quadrants, all capable of showing separate content simultaneously, or as one large display of a single content source. The components of this system are NEC 61" Plasma screens, Draper custom PlasmaWall system support structure, and AMX Control systems. |
